The purist design and contours of this stunning gullwing model are effectively emphasized by specific modifications to the bodywork. The new components made mainly from carbon fiber are a clear testimony to the achievement of outstanding track and extensive aerodynamic development work.

In the front of the GT3 race car has a front spoiler with new air intakes greater: the grand opening below the typical radiator grille with a large Mercedes star and supplies wing-shaped cross fin the engine oil cooler and brake disc cooling air. The two air intakes below the lights arranged vertically bi-xenon have the same function.

The front and rear wings have been expanded to make room for racing tires large. With a width of 1990 mm, the body of the GT3 is a good 50 mm wider than that of the standard SLS AMG. The new side skirts with slits for cooling the rear brakes. The flat bottom is visible in the lower edges of the side skirts. The standard filler for rapid refueling system is housed in the B-pillar.
